About this Talk
Distressing and traumatic experiences are processed and stored in the nervous system. Psychedelic medicines re-connect the traumatized individual with their inner healing intelligence, an inner compass that naturally guides them toward the material that needs healing. This healing often involves processing memories and associated thoughts, beliefs, and emotions at a somatic level. Sometimes this process reaches resolution in a single psychedelic therapy session, but other times this process continues beyond the medicine session into the integration phase. In this presentation, I will introduce the essential role of somatic theory and somatic processing in the treatment of trauma.
